Who Am I (2026)?

I’m Dom, I enjoy learning and trying new things but most importantly I am a friend, a brother, a son, and a coworker. I have realized that right now the meaning in my life comes from my relationships and how I engage with the world.

Right now my favorite definition of the meaning of life is:

The meaning of life is to enjoy the passage of time

The more time I spend journaling and being present the more I am reminded that time marches forward no matter what and all I can do is do my best to enjoy each day and to enjoy it with the people in my life.

I remember vividly a conversation I had with a coworker when I first joined Watch Party, he told me that we will very likely spend more time with each other than we will with our friends and family. Over 40 hours per week is spent working with (ideally) 56 hours of sleep. Leaves us with 72 hours left. When oncall or working late nights that balance skews. Keeping time for chores, errands, and personal time, my coworker was right. This shaped my perspective when I joined the corporate world and I’ve done my best to build more meaningful relationships with my coworkers. It’s crazy how people in the same profession also happen to share so many overlapping interests. Reflecting on this I’ve realized how lucky I am to be surrounded by smart and talented people whose company I enjoy and grow from.

Who Am I (2025)?

Hi, I’m Dom. I’m a guy who likes computers, origami, calligraphy, biking, tools, coding, and learning. I value my family and relationships but if I’m honest, I’m still discovering who I am and asking myself questions that help me understand more about how I operate, almost like a very complex program that I am pushing the limits of and presenting with edge cases.

One thing I know for certain is that I really enjoy meeting new people and learning about their interests and experiences. One of my favorite things to do is having conversations with people and learning about the niche topics that they spend their lives understanding.

One day I hope to see the output of the following command.
